Here is a fun way to learn what a portion size is! The size of the food looks like things you can find around your house.

In the grains food group, you need to eat 6 servings everyday.

1 slice of bread = a CD case

slice of bread = Cd Case Open Close

1 pancake = a CD

Maple Syrup Pouring over Pancakes =CD Walking

1 cup of cereal = a baseball

Milk Pouring on Cereal= Athlete Autographing Baseball

cup of cooked cereal, rice, pasta = a computer mouse

Asian Dinner = Computer Mouse Moving

 

½ bagel = a hockey puck

Fresh Steaming Bagel On Plate = Hockey Puck Moving Back and Forth
