Strength activity is anything that builds muscles!
We use muscles to do everyday things like pull, push, lift and carry.

Our skeletons are covered with muscles to help the body move!

The more you use muscles, the bigger they become! Strong muscles also allow you to play for a longer time without getting tired. Strong muscles also prevent injuries to joints, like knees and shoulders. Joints are found in our bodies where any two bones meet.

Looking for strong muscles? You don't have to lift weights or look like a body builder to be strong! We all have muscles, and you can make yours stronger by having fun doing strength activities.
Check out these strength activities for all parts of your body:
Arms: climbing on playground equipment or in trees, rowing, swimming, push-ups, tug-of-war, arm wrestling, volleyball, tennis

Legs: biking, hiking, running, blading

Abdomens (stomach muscles): sit-ups, hula hoping, swimming
